Mike Gersten Gersten serves as Woodwind Instructor at South Texas College and Co-Principal Clarinet of the Valley Symphony Orchestra. He has shared his expertise in klezmer music, modern music, improvisation, and education through numerous performances, lectures, and workshops across the country. Notable appearances include the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors Conference, the New Music Gathering, and ClarinetFest. A Chicago area native, he has studied with Larry Maxey and Stephanie Zelnick at the University of Kansas and Bil Jackson and Lauren Jacobson at the University of Northern Colorado.

Jaime Garcia began his classical guitar studies at the University of Texas Pan American under the tutelage of Dr. Kurt Martinez. He holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Performance and has performed in Master Classes with many internationally renown artists. Mr. Garcia directs the thriving guitar department at South Texas College and participates in outreach programs, donating his time to provide guitar clinics in schools across the Rio Grande Valley. As a passionate lifelong learner, Mr. Garcia recently began traveling to Spain to study with prominent Flamenco guitarists. Additionally, he is an active adjudicator for UIL and collegiate competitions and maintains an active performance schedule.
